The much-awaited, always rave-reviewwinning, Vakil Housing Calendar, for 2006, is finally released! Garam garam just off the presses, copies of these calendars are already in the mail to all on this mailing list whose mailing addresses we do have. But just in case if you think your address is not with us or not updated, please send reply to this mail or post your comment and we’ll have it sent across to you pronto!
We’ve really enjoyed compiling the 2006 calendar. This year’s title is “Vakil’s Charming Chinnu-Minnu’s.” But I’ve given away enough already. For the rest you’ve gotta wait for the calendar. Once you do receive it, please do post your comment. We would LOVE to know what you think of it.

My Dearest of the DEAR buddies!
I always wanted to have unique & “creative” little wedding invitation card and ta-da! Here it is! (Thank you so much Ali (my special little bro) for designing it).

The good news is, it’s not too far away, it’s happening next week in Mahuva. Yup, things are moving really fast. I really do hope that you can make it for my special day. Ummm…ok…. if for any reason you find this as too short a notice, I’ll tell you what… I’ll make it up to you by having a reception here in Bangalore itself (and certainly this time I’ll let you know much more in advance).
Sorry guys, we really couldn’t help but hold the wedding so soon. It would be simply absolutely completely wonderful if you could down to Mahuva itself. (After 27 years…now even 7 days seem like an eternity). 
We’ll be leaving on the 17th, Tuesday the shaadi is on 18th evening and we should be back by 19th/20th. Further details on the website.

This hoarding hit me, as I was going up the escalator at the Forum. Now that’s prime advertising space.
Welcome aboard Adobe! You know, it’s cheerfully encouraging to many of us ad-guys here, that since you’ll be focusing on product development in India. Therefore, the next time we use a brand new cool filter in Adobe Photoshop, we can give smug satisfied smile as that brand new cool filter, could’ve very well may have been developed by one of our boys locally.

Recently, if I seem absent-minded & a little more chirpy than before;
It’s not by default dear friend, there’s a deeper reason for sure!
After twenty long years and then seven more;
Inching only closer to the grim reaper’s door;
My search seemed to just go on and on;
“Oh where does she lie,” I sighed from dusk till dawn;
Dear friends it has certainly not been easy;
Afterall…I had to look from the highest mountains to the deepest sea;
“You silly lad, Why did you have to travel so far,” she seemed to say
“For all this while, here I was twiddling my thumbs, in the city of Bombay!”
And that’s exactly where my search finally led me;
We met at a common friend’s place over biscuits and some tea;
We talked and talked and talked some more;
We talked the same day and the next, of times now and before
With the heart of an angel, soft-spoken and kind;
“tehzeeb”, “akhlaq”, all with a beautiful mind!
As we chatted, it was becoming clearer to see;
How much she is…just like like me!
They say that the honeymoon-feeling lasts for six months max a year;
But for me it’ll be at least a lifetime, or longer, as long as I have with me my-dear!
Dear friends, just tonight for us a special prayer please do pray;
that may our union, be one that brings us even closer to Him, every single day
